Building a sustainable home doesn’t have to cost the earth

Homebuilding & Renovating magazine has featured our Hen House project in their brand new “How to build a sustainable home” series.

“Designed to be extremely warm and comfortable to live in while using very little energy compared to a typical new- build, it uses the Passivhaus planning package, limiting its energy consumption to an enviable 39kWh/m2a.”

We’re pleased they chose to include this project as part of the series which aims to help self-builders make informed decisions about sustainability. We hope it’s available online soon, but in the meantime, you can read the first article in the February 2020 issue.
