Visiting our projects on site

Following on from our recent construction themed Q&A, we thought we’d share an update on some of our projects that are in the build phase.

Brooklands Crescent, Sheffield

We’re nearing the final stages of the first part of a retrofit for this semi-detached house. We have designed a dormer extension to create a generous main bedroom with ensuite, and as you can see from the image, it’s looking fantastic now that it’s almost finished.

The zinc cladding and roof planter has added kerb appeal and has been getting plenty of admiring glances from passers-by.

Claire’s done a great job of managing this project and working closely with Simplicity Construction Ltd on site.

We’ve enjoyed seeing how our clients have been decorating the property and we hope to work with them in future on the second phase of work on the ground floor.

Catmose Park, Oakham

We’re pleased to see one of our projects in Oakham is complete. The previous layout of this bungalow was poorly designed and didn’t suit our client’s lifestyle.

We added an extension to the front and repositioned the main entrance. We were mindful of being in a conservation area and split the extension into two elements to minimise the overall impact on the surrounding houses.

One of the most desirable things about this property is the location. It’s situated right next to open countryside with superb views. We designed a better external layout around the house with planting by the client’s landscape designer, Soo Spector. As we write this we’re currently enjoying a heatwave in the U.K. and we hope our clients are enjoying their garden!

Den Bank Drive, Sheffield

Our Practice Director, Alan’s own home retrofit is coming along nicely and the end is in sight.

The pièce de résistance of the project is undoubtedly the timber-clad extension. We’ll be sharing more photos once the decorating has been finished.

The Last House, Nottinghamshire

It’s been a while since we shared an update on this new build home.

As you can see, it’s taking shape and the first-fix is nearly complete. The windows are on order and the underfloor heating is being installed.
