Progress Update: Projects on site

Thurgoland

Our Passivhaus project in Thurgoland is nearing completion. Lots of activity on site to get all the finishing touches in place ready for the formal handover. The recent air test achieved an air change of 0.5 ach/hr @50pa (n50) which sits well within the 0.6 ach required by Passivhaus. This means it’s 20 times less draughty than a typical new build.

Ashland Road

Another project in the final stages. The previously cold and draughty house with a convoluted layout has been transformed by adding a new side & rear extension. The kitchen and dining area look fantastic, while the large sliding door provides continuity in to the garden.

Bruce Road

The extension and remodel is progressing well despite some challenges on site. The reconfiguration of the existing house is taking shape & construction of new dormer is in progress. This has suddenly revealed a view across Sheffield and to the trees and river that had previously been hidden.

SYHA Depot

Our refurbishment and retrofit of some site cabins for South Yorkshire Housing Association’s maintenance teams will complete this week. Our retrofit will make the cabins much more comfortable to use in both summer and winter, whilst reducing SYHA’s energy bills and carbon footprint.

Ranmoor Cliffe Road

We’re really pleased with how the extension looks at this project in a Sheffield conservation area . The timber cladding looks very crisp and really compliments the existing building. The client has fully completed the upstairs and is slowly working through the downstairs rooms and finishing off the exterior works.

Catmose Park

Our clients have replaced their small, tired and structurally un-sound bunaglow with a large, modern, highly sustainable home. It’s great to see how well the home sits in its surroundings of the Oakham conservation area. The large areas of glazing make the most of the views. This project required a careful planning process and in depth pre application. You can read more about the design process here.

Oswald Road

This complicated build of a zinc clad extension and general remodel of victorian end of terrace is almost complete. The client and contractor have worked together to create some stunning interiors.
