Our new build project in Fulwood Conservation Area started on site recently. The waterproof concrete retaining walls are built & most of the lower ground floor walls are now up. This one is starting to take shape nicely.
Another new build project that has just started on site. Our clients asked us to build 2 new homes on a challenging site at the edge of a Conservation Area in Oakham. The houses replace an existing home towards the end of its life. The foundations have been laid for the first house and we’re looking forward to seeing this one progress further.
A new rear extension on a steep site will provide much needed living space for this compact, traditional home. A timber-framed extension will perch at the back of the house above some workshop space. The builder has started demolishing the outbuilding.
Our refurbishment and retrofit for South Yorkshire Housing Association is complete . Our retrofit will improve the comfort and energy efficiency reducing SYHA’s energy bills and carbon footprint. Another great collaboration with JAM structures who did the structural design. Find out more about the project in this lovely article by Miranda Plowden on what makes the depot uniquely SYHA.
The reconfiguration and internal works are progressing well, despite some delays while we negotiated a bespoke permit for work above the river. We’re looking forward to seeing work start on the new extension now the permit has been issued.
