Senior Architect, Anna Roper has recently boosted her practical knowledge of the Passivhaus principles by successfully achieving a Passivhaus Tradesperson qualification,
The training covered the important aspects for achieving the Passivhaus standard, including; insulation, high-performance glazing, airtightness, thermal bridging and ventilation.
In addition to these principles, the Tradesperson Course is specifically aimed at ensuring we prevent the Performance Gap that can emerge between what’s designed and what is built.
Anna completed the training alongside other professionals across the construction sector from operatives on site, to project managers. Achieving a Passivhaus or low energy build is truly a team effort from design to completion.
It will help the practice ensure that our low energy home designs are being delivered to a high standard on site and Anna has already enjoyed sharing some of her learnings with the rest of the team.
